In 2014, Dr. William Stetson traveled to San Jose, Costa Rica with the help of Orthopaedics Overseas (https://hvousa.org/ourwork/programs/orthopaedics/) to work with Dr. Fernando Contreras of San Juan de Dios Hospital in San Jose, Costa Rica.  With the help of his family and Operation Arthroscopy, Dr. Stetson spent one week with Dr. Contreras examining shoulder patients and performing arthroscopic shoulder surgery in the San Juan de Dios Hospital. They were able to bring thousands of dollars of donated arthroscopy equipment to Dr. Contreras and his hospital so he could continue to perform arthroscopic shoulder surgeries.
